What do you love most about working at EBX?

I love that everyone is committed to success and there is a real positive energy within the team which makes EBX a great place to work; its infectious!

Tell us a bit about your role, what does a typical day look like?

I work with all employees to try and create a safe and healthy working environment; by recording our accidents and near misses, ensuring we have the corrective actions in place, carrying out safety tours, inspections and Gembas, generating risk assessments, creating flyers and toolbox talks and training for different roles. Working on maintaining a good safety culture is fundamental for the type of work we do at EBX, and our safety committee is key in driving this.

What keeps you productive?

I like to help people and make sure we have a safe working environment. Seeing a task being carried out that makes it safer and hopefully easier really gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Tell us something about working at EBX that people might not expect?

Everyday throws a new challenge at you! A lot can happen in just a few hours in EBX, so you are constantly managing/troubleshooting different problems/challenges that arise throughout any given day.

How have you developed your skills through your time here?

Already in my short time here I’ve been involved in areas that have pushed me to develop my skills in an ever-evolving business. Problem solving, co-ordination, adaptability and collaboration are some of the skills that I have enhanced and the great thing about it is that everyone has been so helpful in this journey.

How would you describe your work in one word?

Varied!

What’s your favourite memory of your time at EBX?

I’ve enjoyed the team dynamics and getting to know everyone; it really is a great family to be part of. I know there is so much more to come and really looking forward to our company EBX day and all of the wellness and social committee events that have been planned for 2023.
