Axel is Head of Analytical Development
What do you love most about working at EBX?
That we are working in uncharted waters, and as part of the development team get the chance to work on really new things.
Tell us a bit about your role, what does a typical day look like?
As Head of Analytical Development I work on the boundary of Quality Control and R&D, mainly focussing on novel analytical methodologies to support product characterisation, process development and quality control. In addition, I work on upgrading existing and new methods to make them suitable to support testing of late phase clinical products.
What keeps you productive?
The fact that we make a novel product entirely in-house with the aim of improving people’s life’s who suffer from debilitating illnesses.
Tell us something about working at EBX that people might not expect?
The majority of colleagues are actually hilarious to work with, in the most positive way of speaking.
How have you developed your skills through your time here?
As a virologist it has been one big crash-course in microbiology. In addition, the manufacturing, clinical and business side are also fascinating.
How would you describe your work in one word?
Interesting.
What’s your favourite memory of your time at EBX?
Having plenty of banter with my colleagues.
