Jeni’s story

Jeni is the Donor Operations Lead, based in Glasgow.

What do you love most about working at EBX?

One of things I love most about working at EBX, is that every day presents with a new challenge.

Tell us a bit about your role, what does a typical day look like?

Recently, I have undertaken a new role within the Donor Management department, as Donor Operations Lead, and a typical day for me now looks very different compared to my role as an R&D Scientist. In my new role, my days mostly consist of delivering on the operational objectives of the business, with my primary focus on ensuring the smooth running of our Number2 donor programme. This requires that I work closely with our donors and courier service, as well as cross-functionally with several other departments to deliver a steady flow of incoming donations, that are processed, tested and released to specification before final product manufacture.

What keeps you productive?

Knowing that our product has direct patient benefit keeps me productive and passionate.

Tell us something about working at EBX that people might not expect?

Health and wellbeing is a big part of the culture at EBX, with fresh fruit and pressed juices provided daily and office yoga!

How have you developed your skills through your time here?

My skills have developed hugely over the time I have worked here, particularly, the knowledge that I have gained through my experience of working in a GMP environment has vastly improved.

How would you describe your work in one word?

Unique.

What’s your favourite memory of your time at EBX?

My favourite memory at EBX is watching the EBX AMPLA technology for the first time, it was a “you have to see it to believe it” moment and it was unforgettable!
