What do you love most about working at EBX?
I really value EBX’s company mission to deliver microbiome-based therapies to improve health and I love the prospect of being able to have a true impact on patients’ lives. As a Senior Formulation Development Scientist, my typical day involves designing and conducting experiments, analysing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop novel formulations and refine our manufacturing procedures.
What keeps you productive?
Having a clear company mission to work towards keeps me productive, while the dynamic nature of research means that there is always something new to discover creating an exciting work environment.

People might not expect the positive work culture that is fostered at EBX which makes it an enjoyable place to work. Core values of health, wellness and community really is part of everyday life at EBX and I have enjoyed taking part in excellent team building events from adventure activities, yoga, and team celebratory lunches.
How have you developed your skills through your time here?
Over the past three years, I have had hands on training in applying leading manufacturing technologies to microbiome-based therapies. Working alongside a diverse group of highly skilled colleagues has provided me with knowledge and skills that have positively impacted my day-to-day skills, including those required for formulation development, experimental design and data analysis.
How would you describe your work in one word?
Impactful.
What’s your favourite memory of your time at EBX?
My favourite memory at EBX comes from my experience in the lab where the R&D team were testing out an innovative theory to improve a lead product. It was an exciting time for everyone carrying out the experiment, performing the analytical tests and waiting for the results. Performing this as part of a team, knowing that we were contributing to a potential breakthrough in microbiome therapies made it even more special.
