Dr James Barnes has eighteen years’ strategic, leadership, drug development & business operations experience gained across a wide range of functions and therapeutic areas, from mid-size pharma to consultancy positions.

James joins the Company from BerGenBio ASA, a biotech company developing innovative drugs for oncology and serious respiratory infections, where he was COO. Prior to BerGenBio, James worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Europe) Ltd as Director of Regulatory Affairs and held several positions at Clinical Research Organizations including ICON Clinical Research.

James holds a Biomedical Science degree from the University of Sheffield and PhD from the University of Bristol.
